Lately, we have been doing a lot of Giveaways. It started as a job for a client, then we thought...DUH...we're missing the boat here. We should giving gifts ourselves and building our own list.

A couple of things I've learned from doing these give aways that you should know.

  • There are basically 2 scripts that everyone is using. One allows no robotic method for filling out the information--not even copy and paste. This one also gives you a randomly generated password in your activation email. But, if you can get into the Giveaway straight away...put your gift up then. That way, if your activation link doesn't show up, you are set already---just have to fight the activation out.
  • The activation system is often buggy...you have to keep checking. I finally got 20 (count them!!!) secondary activation emails 3 days later. And none of them worked...after I sent yet another email to support...an account email and a real activation link showed up 10 minutes later. Both dated the day I signed up. Where all these emails were for several days is anyone's guess, but they were not in my inbox or spam filter.

Which brings me to another quirk...

  • I can't say for certain for any other email client, but with Yahoo mail if the activation mails end up in your spam folder. Open it and click the confirmation there. Do not try to move it until you have. Several times the mail just disappears when I tried to move it from the spam folder to the inbox.  If that happens, you can be out of luck because there is often no support contact link on the Giveaway itself. And unfortunately, some of them do not even have a resend confirmation option.
  • Read the rules carefully. They mean what they say and the giveaway owners will decline your gift or ban you if you break the rules. Many of the Giveaways are forcing you to the download type of gift even when the rules don't specifically state this. So, think ahead and prepare one just in case.

You will have to promote the Giveaway. All of the Giveaway owners remove gifts from contributors without any promotion clicks. You will be downgraded to a member if this happens. Anyway, the days of the free ride are over--so be prepared to promote.   I promote to our list and in Twitter...it is usually sufficient to keep our gifts in the giveaway even when we first started with them.

Here are some new Giveaways looking for contributors: Use your PLR and build a list, it's easy. And, if you don't have any PLR (is that even possible?), come check us out.

Affiliate Millionaire is one of the hot launches in course. It is a product by Andrew Fox.

The main hook is that they stumbled in a source of traffic that is hot, cheap and out of google; lets face it… it is tempting.

It is also a full course, well organized including swipe files, and real life case studies. At least is what the jv videos tell.

As part of the pre launch they have a video with the basic advertising launched today, there are more but I didn’t pay attention to them yet. You can go here to opt in for the vid (yes, it is an affiliate link).

Now, my goal today is not to sell you the goodies of this product, as I didn’t see it. But to share with you some golden nuggets I found watching the video with “money” eyes.

Image 1: Average CPC for different niches.

He uses it to show how expensive ppc is and how it is not profitable for many niches any more.

Now, if you want to go after adsense as business model, pay attention to these niches… they are good candidates to find subniches out of them. ;)

Of course there is nothing new, everyone knows that financial are the most expensive niches around.
